American Idol Concert draws Anti-Gay Group Protest

This past Sunday at an American Idol concert in San Jose, California, protesters from the Westboro Baptist Church made it clear that they strongly disagree with "homosexuality". According to their website, which is named God Hates Fags.com.......

Since 1955, Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) has taken forth the precious from the vile, and is therefore as the mouth of God (Jer. 15:19). In 1991, WBC took her ministry to the streets, conducting 41,002 peaceful demonstrations (to date) opposing the fag lifestyle of soul-damning, nation-destroying filth. In response, America bombed WBC & WBC on 8-2-2008. God is America's enemy: 5,058 dead soldiers; crashing economy. America crossed the line on June 26, 2003, when the Supreme Court (the conscience of the nation) ruled in Lawrence v. Texas that we must respect sodomy. Utter disgust and astonishment. That's my feeling towards the Westboro Baptist Church. The web page they proclaim and advocate is nothing more then "hate" propaganda. Their church spreads hate. They tour throughout the U.S. screaming "hate" in Gods name.I don't know about their "god", but my God does not hate and would never tell his "children" to go out and preach for the devil

These churches, that are completely radical and on the verge of becoming a modern day cult, are spreading their message of hate across America, and using God's name to do it. Their are a lot of uneducated bigots not only in America, but all around the world who have and will continue to use hate as a weapon against others who have a different religious belief or who live a different lifestyle. The notion that hate can consume an individual or a group should not be taken lightly. All we have to do is clothes our eyes and look back in history to know that such things can and do happen.

In the end there will always be hate. Not just in America, but across the world. There will always be radical groups proclaiming "gods" name in their message of hate. In America we have rights. We have right to form and state our opinions, even when everyone else might not share our same views. Freedom is what we are entitled to. Just because we disagree and are appauled with these "hate" groups, they will always continue to exist and deliver their messages of damnation. What we can do is take a stand and shout out loud that hate will not not win. We can proclaim that hate will never be acceptable. Stand up and denounce hate, refuse to let hate dictate how we live our lives. We are in America, and we have rights. The right to be free. Free from Hate.

After you have learned about picking out the melody, you can try to start picking out chords. You will need this in harmonizing the melody with the chords. As a review, a chord is a combination of at least three notes that are played all at the same time. Beginners will typically learn three chords at a time, based on the first, fourth, and fifth notes of any scale in any key. As an example, the three basic chords in the C major key are C, F, and G. When taken together, these three chords include all the notes in the key of C.

You will also need to learn more about chord voicing. This refers to playing a chord in positions other than the root. For example, you will not always have to play the chord F in the order F-A-C. You can play it as A-C-F or C-F-A. Changing the position by which you play a chord will give it a different voicing.

Learning how to play the piano by ear will always involve melody, chords, and chord voicing. It is therefore important to keep these three things in mind as you try to learn how to play the piano in the traditional way.

A Good Fim, Find Out As We Review The Aviator

While in production of his film Hughes is constantly pushing the boundaries of aviation and eventually buys TWA and challenges Pan Ams monopoly on international flights. Of course the Herculesmore commonly known as the Spruce Gooseis included in the film as well as the congressional hearings and Hughes eventual demise due to his obsessive compulsive disorder. The Aviator, deservedly nominated for Best Picture, and in my opinion, a much better film than the winner that year, Million Dollar Baby. This is a film about Howard Hughes and in particular his love for aviation. The film begins in Hughes directing era when he is making Hells Angels.

The Aviator has a stellar cast highlighted by Leonardo DiCaprios (Titanic,Gangs of New York) portrayal of Mr. Hughes. DiCaprio is wonderful at having an attitude about not caring about money, when ever there is a problem, his solution is to buy it or hire someone to fix it. For example Personally, I thought Leonardo DiCaprio could have won an Oscar for this role. I though both he and Don Cheadle (nominated for Hotel Rwanda) were better than Jamie Foxx in Ray, but we all have our opinions. hiring Professor Fitz, played by Ian Holm (Lord of the Rings), to monitor clouds for in teh background in the movie Hells Angels. DiCaprio is also great in slowly introducing the obsessive compulsive side of Howard Hughes. From being paranoid about washing his hands to the extreme side when he has locked himself in a room, totally naked, trying to avoid any type of germ.

The other outstanding performance, which did result in an Oscar, was Cate Blanchett (Elizabeth) playing Katherine Hepburn. She was incredible with her accent and the way she carried herself in general. As I mentioned this film has a great cast, and many very nice performances..Alan Alda (MASH) was nominated as best supporting actor for his role as Senator Brewster, Alec Baldwin (Beetlejuice) as Juan Trippe, and even a small role for Jude Law (The Talented Mr Ripley) playing actor Errol Flynn.

No your TV does not need adjusting, even the green peas on the plate are blue. The Aviator with its grand scale and top notch cast needed a great director like Martin Scorsese, as where I believe there are a handful of directors that could have done Million Dollar Baby. Behind the camera is Martin Scorsese (Best Director The Departed), and usually what ever he is involved with turns out nothing less than great. Again, another Oscar could have been won here as I thought for directing, he did a much better job and took more risks than Clint Eastwood for Million Dollar Baby. (Although I never mind seeing Clint Eastwood win anything, he has become an American icon.) For instance, look at the first hour of the Aviator, there are no greens in the movie to reflect a look and tone of the time.

As much as I have mentioned the word Oscar here, it did take home 5 Oscars and deservedly so. If you have not seen this film, this is really a great movie and worth watching. It will give you an appreciation of what Howard Hughes did for the field of aviation and the airline industry. At least see this once.
